We are about ready to enter Week 10 action, however, with the Dallas Cowboys getting ready to travel to Lambeau Field, let’s take our minds off the game for a little bit and look to the near future. The 2023 NFL Draft will be here before you know it, so how about a midseason mock draft?

The Cowboys have a very rich history of building their roster through the draft rather than making trades for players or making splash free-agency signings. We can expect about the same in future years, so it is important to begin getting familiar with the prospects the front office will have its eyes on.

I will be doing a full league-wide first-round mock draft, including the Cowboys’ pick late in the first round. Each pick will be briefly explained. There will be no trades as that would be hysterical doing such a thing this early on in the process. Let’s do it!

Scouting Report. QB. player. Pick Analysis. Alabama Crimson Tide. BryceYoung. 1. 10

To start off the draft, the other team in Texas takes Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. With the Davis Mills experiment clearly not working out so well, it’s time to start grooming the next great quarterback for the Houston Texans.

The Carolina Panthers have a whole lot of meh at the quarterback position. Baker Mayfield hasn’t panned out, Sam Darnold was a swing and a miss, and P.J Walker has shown flashes, but nothing more. C.J Stroud is one of the most surefire prospects in the draft, and the new regime in Carolina should look to bring in a potential superstar at quarterback.

player. 28. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama Crimson Tide. WillAnderson Jr.. 3. EDGE

The Las Vegas Raiders are a complete mess at the moment. On paper, this team should not have the No. 3overall pick, yet, here we are. This is a no-brainer as Will Anderson is arguably the best prospect in this draft, and hopefully, in this hypothetical situation, the Raiders’ front office wouldn’t overthink this.
