2. Prescott throws for three touchdowns
Let me first start by saying that Cooper Rush did an amazing job filling in for Prescott in those first four games. But after last week’s game against the Eagles, it became pretty clear that there’s a reason he is a backup quarterback in this league. You can’t have three turnovers in a crucial divisional game, especially when those turnovers are what end up being the difference between a win and a loss.
It’s been five weeks since Dak Prescott had surgery on his right thumb. He is expected to be a full participant when the Cowboys return to practice today.

“He looks good. He looks ready to go.”
Here’s the plan and expectations: https://t.co/2J9zj8ucgK
The return of Prescott couldn’t have come at a better time for him and the Cowboys as they face off against the worst defense in the league. That should allow Prescott to be able to get his feet back under him and gain even more confidence in that thumb on his throwing hand. The Lions are also very bad at stopping the run so the Cowboys aren’t going to see a need to have Prescott throw the football 40 times in this game as they will be able to lean on Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard.
With that being said, I still believe that Prescott is going to go off in his return against the Lions thanks to the somewhat improved playcalling from offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and the porous Lions’ defense.
