The Dallas Cowboys are facing a great problem to have. This team has so many players performing well that they can’t get them all the snaps they deserve.

This is one of the main reasons they’re on a four-game win streak. If they want to keep stacking the Ws, they should do what they can to get these three players more involved in the game plan — especially against the red-hot Philadelphia Eagles.

The interior of the Cowboys defensive line has been a soft spot for a couple of years, but that’s not been due to a lack of trying. They drafted Trysten Hill in the second round in 2019 — and he’s finally been playing better — and then in 2020, they signed Dontari Poe and Gerald McCoy.

Unfortunately, Hill struggled with discipline and injuries, McCoy was lost before the season began, and Poe looked like a shell of himself. With all the issues, they continued to try and finally found a 3-tech that could be the long-term answer.

Osa Odighizuwa was taken out of UCLA in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and it felt as though he was a reach at that point. But now in 2022, it’s clear that Dallas was right about his value. He’s been one of the top defensive tackles in win rate this season and had his best outing on Sunday.

The sophomore player is ranked 25th in the NFL at his position according to PFF and recorded a sack and two tackles for a loss against Los Angeles. Due to the rotation they use on their line, he’s never played more than 58 percent of the defensive snaps in a game this season but it’s clear he should be out there more often against a powerful offense like the Eagles.
