What We’ve Seen and Possible Gameplan Against Dallas

This game really will be about which defense will be able to hold up against the others offense. The ‘Boys come into this game ranked third overall in defense and the Eagles aren’t far behind coming in at seventh overall.

Both teams have the ability to rush the passer and stop the run, but while Dallas was able to draft most of their players, the Eagles decided to make moves in the offseason and bring in veterans to bolster their defense, and it’s worked.

Philly has taken a step back after losing Derek Barnett to a knee injury that landed him on IR, but this team has been able to rally and still be that bend but not breaking defense we’ve been used to seeing out of the Eagles. America’s Team already faced off against some of the toughest defensive lines in the NFL already in the Buccaneers, Commanders, and Rams just last week so they should be able to handle another one this week, especially one missing one of their better pass rushers.

Look for this Eagles defense to come out in man coverage to see if they can lock up the Dallas receivers with their talented pair of cornerbacks in Bradberry and Slay and try to force the ‘Boys to throw into the middle of the field where their safeties will be able to make plays on the football.

You can also expect more blitzing from this defense if Cooper Rush is under center over Dak Prescott since the QB1 is much better at handling blitzes than Rush has been able to. Also, look for Cox and Hargrave to attack the Cowboys’ left guard and center combination. We’ve seen them bully center Tyler Biadasz before and they will look to try and do it again. If the Cowboys can keep the pocket clean for Rush, then Dallas should be able to score enough points to win this game.
