4. Cooper Rush will find holes in the secondary

This season hasn’t been kind to the Commanders’ defense. They enter Week 4 ranked 28th in yards surrendered through the air with 822. They’re also dead last in passing touchdowns given up with eight — but at least they’re tied with the Tennessee Titans, so they have company.

As for turnovers, that’s not really their thing either, as they have just one pick through the first three games. It wasn’t that long ago when the Cowboys’ defense couldn’t buy an interception, so it’s well-known in Big D how frustrating it can be when an offense throws it all day with no fear of the defenders taking it away.

On Sunday, that’s how it will feel for Rush. He enters this game with a very efficient stat line, which includes a goose egg in the turnover department. He’s not going to throw too many ill-advised passes but will take what the defense gives, and this is a very generous secondary.

Throw in the play of the aforementioned offensive line and Rush is poised for possibly his best game of the young season.

He already helped Dallas take out Daniel Jones, a former first-round pick for the Giants, and could again hand a loss to another NFC East foe that was drafted early in Round 1. Not bad for the former undrafted free agent.
