4 bold predictions for the Cowboys vs. Commanders Week 4 game
2. KaVontae Turpin gets his first TD
Turpin was so close to getting his first return for a touchdown last week, but the kicker was able to bring him down. We’ve seen each week that Turpin has been able to break off long returns and it’s only a matter of time before he’s able to take one to the house.
The blocking for him has been a lot better as well, but the real difference has been that it seems like the big lights of the regular season aren’t getting to him and John Fassel has told him to go for it. All that combined has given Turpin more confidence and allowed him to hit holes faster once he gets the ball in his hands.
This week, he will be facing a Commanders team that is pretty good on special teams but a team that hasn’t seen a returner with his speed. He’s going to be a real test for Washington, who might just decide to kick away from him and not risk a big return. If they do kick it to him, the potential is always there for a touchdown.
