When everyone thought the Dallas Cowboys were dead and gone, the injury-riddled team pulled off a miraculous Week 2 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals behind backup QB Cooper Rush. While there are certainly things the Cowboys need to work on moving forward, the win brought life and hope back to Cowboys Nation.

Perhaps something even more surprising than Dallas beating the reigning AFC Champions is that their next opponent, the New York Giants, are 2-0. The once-laughed-at Giants beat the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers and are shocking the world.

The ‘Boys head to MetLife Stadium to face their NFC East foe in primetime on Monday Night Football. What was originally looked at before the start of the season as an easy W is now a game that may be a bit more difficult than we’d like to think.

Let’s take a look at the early odds and give a prediction for the game.

Cowboys vs Giants Odds Week 3

**All odds are from FanDuel as of Tuesday at 4 pm CT. These numbers are subject to change. Please check FanDuel for the most up-to-date numbers.**

At the time of writing, the Week 2 betting odds on FanDuel have the Cowboys as 2.5-point underdogs on the road in East Rutherford, NJ. Dallas is +120 on the moneyline, while the Giants are favorites at -142. The total for the game is set at 39.5 points.

I don’t think anyone expected the Cowboys to ever open up as underdogs against the Giants, but with New York’s hot start and Dallas having to hit the road with several players injured, here we are. The Giants opened as favorites for the second week in a row after being favored in just one game for the entire 2021 season.

Cowboys vs Giants Prediction Week 3

The Cowboys have no issues with being underdogs, just ask DeMarcus Lawrence. While America’s Team is still dealing with some question marks and issues, it’s fair to expect that this roster will be a problem for the Giants compared to what they saw from the Titans and Panthers.

New York’s biggest issues right now are the offensive line and QB Daniel Jones, and we all saw what Micah Parsons and the Dallas defense did to two of the best quarterbacks in football in the first two weeks of the season. Dallas held both the Bengals and Bucs to under 20 points, and we expect them to do the same against New York.

However, it’s important to remember that with a division rivalry and the bright lights of primetime Monday Night Football, anything can happen. The good news is that the Cowboys are 9-1 in their last ten games against the Giants. While the literal odds aren’t currently in their favor, it’s tough to see the Cowboys losing this game.

Expect a low-scoring game with more defensive dominance from Dallas. We think the Cowboys will start 1-0 against the NFC East by a score of 24-10.
