1. Joe Burrow had major accuracy concerns in Week 1

Things started out bad for Burrow last Sunday and they only got worse. His first pass attempt of the game was picked off target and Mikah Fitzpatrick took that one back for a defensive touchdown.

After that, he threw three more interceptions and lost a fumble. That type of performance from Burrow isn’t typical as he had 19 picks in his first 26 career starts and has had just four games in his career with multiple picks in that span — all of those came in 2021.

He did end up with 338 yards while throwing it 58 times but the fact remains that he looked off in his first outing of the year. It might have been simply due to the season being new and him needing to shake off some rust. Or, it might have been the pressure he was feeling due to the pass rush.

As mentioned earlier, this could be a problem again with the Cowboys lining up across from them. Parsons, Lawrence, and Osa Odighizuwa can all find mismatches on the Cincy line, forcing Burrow to throw from a muddy pocket often. Should that happen, a very opportunistic secondary would be able to create a few turnovers as they help their offense out.

Whether all this leads to a win for Dallas is yet to be determined, but they shouldn’t be counted out just yet.
