2. Cowboys Win the Field Position Battle
The emergence of KaVontae Turpin has given this Cowboys team its most dangerous return man since Deion Sanders.
Now, with Turpin returning kicks, Dallas has the opportunity to win the field position battle, something they were really only able to do last season thanks to their defense’s ability to create turnovers.
This time around, Turpin and his big play ability are going to force teams to reconsider how to kick to the Cowboys, and could lead to more bad kickoffs and punts.
Special teams coordinator John Fassel hoped that his undrafted rookie return man would be a surprise for opposing teams in 2022. Nope. | From @ToddBrock24f7 https://t.co/p8ovFUnLMx

If they do, in fact, decide to kick the ball to Turpin, then they are going to have to deal with someone who seems built for this position and role on the team, with the speed and quick footwork to make people miss in the open field.
We’ve seen how dangerous he can be returning a punt and kickoff in the same game this preseason, so you can bet teams are going to be very cautious in how they approach this new problem.
