Defensive Line (10):

DeMarcus Lawrence
Osa Odighizuwa
Neville Gallimore
Dante Fowler
Dorrance Armstrong
Sam Williams
John Ridgeway
Carlos Watkins
Trysten Hill
Chauncey Golston

This might feel deep for the defensive line but there are a lot of good players that deserve to be on an NFL roster. Perhaps they’ll look to make a trade, especially with Tarell Basham and Quinton Bohanna not making it in this prediction.

Bohanna has shown a lot as a nose tackle but rookie John Ridgeway was better in the preseason. The only way Bohanna does make it is if Carlos Watkins gets released but he’s been a trusted vet, so that might not happen.

They do end up keeping Trysten Hill, which was never a guarantee. A former second-round pick, he’s been labeled a bust but came on strong this preseason. As for the starting defensive tackles, Neville Gallimore and Osa Odighizuwa are locking down those spots.

At defensive end, DeMarcus Lawrence and Dante Fowler get the starting spots, but Dorance Armstrong and Sam Williams will rotate in often. Williams has shown tremendous explosion during camp and even pushed around Charles Cross in the finale, showing he can go toe-to-toe with a first-round pick.

Chauncey Golston also makes it and he has the ability to slide inside on passing downs as well. This staff loves versatility, plus he was a Round 3 pick last season, so he gets another shot even if he’s not an explosive player.

Dallas might not have stars on the defensive line outside of Lawrence but they do have some talented players that can get the job done when rushing the passer. What they’re hoping for this season, is that players such as Ridgeway can help make a difference in the run game.
