Washington Commanders

Key Losses: Brandon Scherff (G), Time Settle (DT), Matthew Ioannidis (DT)

Key Additions: Trai Turner (G), Andrew Norwell (G), Jon Bostic (LB), Carson Wentz (QB)

Injuries: Chase Young (Knee), Nate Gerry (Undisclosed), Tyler Larsen (Achilles), Logan Thomas (Knee), J.D. McKissic (Groin)

The Commanders shocked many with the news that they would be placing Chase Young on PUP to start the season. That means he will miss the first of two games against the Cowboys this season, which should be a relief to Dallas fans worried about the Cowboys’ offensive tackle situation.

They are also dealing with injuries along their offensive line, tight end, and running back positions. Not to mention the play from Wentz who hasn’t quite lived up to the Commanders fans’ expectations thus far into his time with the team.

We know that this team has been built around their defensive line, and that will continue to be a strength going forward even without Young on the field. As far as the offense goes, they still have Terry McLaurin on the outside but there’s an interesting battle happening at running back between Antonio Gibson and Brian Robinson who the Commanders drafted this year.

Both will make the team and could become a nice dual-headed monster in their backfield. This could be a sneaky team if the Cowboys are prepared to face them. However, with so many roster issues in general, the Commanders shouldn’t be much of a threat to Dallas. At least not in Week 4.
