3. Eric Fisher, Free Agent

Perhaps the most obvious free agency option, Eric Fisher, offers a match made in Heaven for the Cowboys. Not only does Fisher have plenty of NFL experience under his belt, but he also has two Pro Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl Championship to show for his level of play.

The 2013 No. 1 overall pick spent eight seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs before signing a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts in 2021. He has played at a very high level up to this point of his career, and he is now looking for his next NFL home.

In 2021, Fisher started 16 out of 17 games at left tackle for the Colts. PFF gave him a 68.8 offense grade for the season, which ranked 57th out of 148 tackles. While that’s not fantastic by any means, it is undoubtedly an upgrade compared to what the ‘Boys currently have in-house.

Signing Fisher to a one-year deal would be a great move by the Joneses. He would be a serviceable starter and would again be a great leader for the offensive line. Bringing in a guy with a Super Bowl ring, starting-level ability, and pure veteran experience would be a great replacement for the future Hall of Famer.
