4 things we learned from the Dallas Cowboys’ first preseason game

2. Back-Up Quarterback Issues

It wasn’t a good day for the backup quarterbacks on display in this game. For a team that has seen what can happen when your star quarterback goes down with an injury, you’d think finding a solid backup would be a top priority.

While we still have yet to see how Will Grier will fair in a preseason game, Cooper Rush and Ben DiNucci left a lot to be desired. If Grier isn’t able to separate himself from the group then this Dallas front office may be forced to look outside the roster for help.

Let’s hope that Grier, who has had a nice camp, is able to win the backup quarterback job. After what we saw in this last game, Rush and DiNucci shouldn’t even make the roster.
