The Broncos’ fifth-round pick in this year’s draft was a 5’10”, 170-pound wide receiver out of Samford. In college, Montrell Washington shined as both a receiver and a kick returner.

At his small FCS university, he had 148 receptions for 1,883 and 17 touchdowns. Plus, he added 101 rushing attempts for 520 yards, with eight rushing touchdowns. As a returner, he had 1,075 yards on 48 kickoff returns and 771 yards on 47 punt returns.

Perhaps Washington’s biggest asset to this Denver team is his returning capability, which will likely be on display against the Cowboys. If he performs well, he has a chance to sit low in the receiver depth chart.

Fans have been living for his highlight moments during training camp, and the receiver is a player who has a lot of hype around him.
