Basham had a pretty good season for the Cowboys last year racking up 39 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and 11 quarterback hits. That didn’t stop Dallas from reloading at defensive end by signing Dante Fowler Jr. and drafting Sam Williams in the second round.

It’s going to be tough for Basham to beat out the defensive coordinator’s hand-picked free agent signing and the draft pick he fought to bring to Dallas. All isn’t lost for Basham if there is an injury to a player during the preseason, but as of right now, he’s the off man out of this group. If there isn’t and he continues to play well, then his stock will continue to rise and could be enough for a pass rush needy team to approach the Cowboys about a player swap.

Of these four players listed, Basham may have the highest trade potential thanks to his play last season and the need for effective pass rushers around the league.
