The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most recognizable teams in all of sports. Everyone knows the star and you can see people wearing Cowboys uniforms all over the world. To get to this point, they haven’t had to do too much with changing up their jerseys. The Cowboys have been pretty consistent in what works and makes them so identifiable.

First and foremost, the star is unmistakable. The big navy and silver star on the shiny helmets is known globally. It’s likely why so many refer to Dallas as America’s Team.

That said, the Cowboys’ colors have remained relatively unchanged over time. Navy blue, shades of royal blue, gray, silver, and white litter the uniforms over the past sixty years. There have been tweaks along the way that coincide with the times and what was popular during that era but Dallas hasn’t made any significant color or logo changes.

However, some variations of the uniform are cooler or more fun than others. There are eight main jerseys that have been donned throughout the Cowboys’ existence and today we will take a look at those uniforms ranked from worst to best.

This ranking isn’t based on how the team did wearing them, what players wore them, when they were worn, or anything else besides simply how they look and a bit of reasoning why they fall where they may.

Should this ruffle some feathers, as I am sure it will among Cowboys fans, you can expect to see at least four of these combos this upcoming 2022-23 season. And, with some new rule changes to helmets, a fifth may be making its way back much sooner than later.

8. The 1995 Whites

The direct inspiration for the Color Rush uniforms is right here. It is clear to see that these were brought back to incorporate the navy sleeves with a star on the shoulder. They don’t do a ton to pop with a ton of light gray, silver, and white, which makes them a little bland but nonetheless identifiable.

The navy star on the shoulders with the white outline matches the helmet logo identically and goes a long way in making these jerseys very solid.
