1. Josh Ball, OT

When Dallas took Ball last season, many were questioning the pick based on his past off-the-field issues. While warranted, we shouldn’t count him out in terms of making a difference on this team.

We’ve seen what can happen to this offense when one of their starting offensive tackles goes down with an injury and it ain’t pretty. Ball, who was on the roster last season, wasn’t able to get on the field due to a high ankle sprain that left him on injured reserve all season. Now, heading into the new season, Ball is healthy and looking to prove he was worthy of a fourth-round pick.

With the departure of La’el Collins and Terence Steele moving into the starting right tackle role, Ball has an opportunity. You also have Tyron Smith at left tackle but he has been unable to play a full season in quite some time.

Ball will immediately come in and battle for the swing tackle position for the Cowboys, and he should be able to win thanks to his knowledge of the offense compared to the other offensive tackles on the roster. The Cowboys took him with their fourth-round pick for a reason and it’s time that Ball shows everyone why.
