With training camp next month, things will certainly start to heat up for the Dallas Cowboys as they look to make the playoffs again. Unfortunately, we still have to wait a few months for football season to actually begin. Until then, we can start to get ahead on our fantasy football rosters. Many members of the Cowboys roster will be highly sought after when fantasy drafts begin.

For this article, I will go over the top five fantasy options on the Cowboys roster. In fantasy football, running backs and wide receivers are the most valuable positions so I took that into consideration when making my rankings.

While every fantasy league is operated a bit differently, these five players should be rostered in every league and have a chance to make a huge impact on any fantasy team.

5. Tony Pollard, Running Back

Will this be the year the Cowboys finally give Tony Pollard his share of the touches? He has been an explosive playmaker for the team over the past few years and this upcoming season should be his very best.

Last season, Pollard had 130 carries for 719 rushing yards along with 39 catches for 339 receiving yards. Despite playing a part-time role and only scoring two touchdowns, Pollard was the 29th-ranked running back in standard-scoring leagues.

With an increased role in 2022, Pollard has a chance to crack the top-20 fantasy running backs. That would make him an every-week starter in most leagues. As long as Ezekiel Elliott is healthy, Pollard will remain in that RB2 spot. But, that makes him one of the most important handcuffs in fantasy football. There have also been significant talks about Pollard doing more special teams and receiver work, which will only increase his value.

Anyone that rosters Elliott should be looking to draft Pollard in the later rounds so you can get all the points from the Cowboys backfield no matter who plays. Look for Pollard to have his best year as a Cowboy in 2022 and target him as a mid to late-round running back.
