2. Linebacker and wide receiver depth are a major concern

Going into this season the Cowboys had quite a few holes to fill on this roster. After these practices, there should be some cause for concern with these two units. The linebacker room took a hit after Devante Bond suffered a season-ending injury. Plus, with Leighton Vander Esch and Jabril Cox both having past injury issues and lack of experience behind them, this is going to be a group to keep an eye on all season. Maybe the Cowboys will make a move before training camp in order to address these concerns.

On the receiver side of things, Michael Gallup is still on the mend, James Washington is rehabbing a foot injury, Noah Brown is rehabbing, and rookie Jalen Tolbert was dealing with a hamstring. Luckily, Tolbert was able to return to practice, but the depth chart is looking quite beat up.

There have been reports of Semi Fehoko making plays, but there is also news that second-year receiver T.J. Vasher still does not have a grasp on the playbook. The lack of depth at the position was already a concern before OTAs, and now that this group is dealing with a rash of injuries, you have to wonder if the front office will make a move to help this group.

Hopefully, this group will be ready and focused entering training camp. The Cowboys really need at least two of these guys to step up, and the same goes for the linebacker corps
