3.  Kellen Moore will be relieved of his duties before midseason

I wrote an article about my belief that the first four games of the season will be make-or-break for offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. I still believe that but I’m taking it a step further and saying that by the fifth game of the season he will no longer be the play-caller for the Cowboys, and head coach Mike McCarthy will take over and get the offense rolling again.

Moore’s playcalling isn’t necessarily his biggest issue. The real problem is his failure to adapt or change his game plan based on what defenses throw at him.

If Moore isn’t able to get over that issue and continues to just take what the defenses are giving him then it’s time for the Cowboys to make the move to have McCarthy take over. Getting Tony Pollard more involved, scheming open his receivers instead of using basic route trees to push the ball downfield, and running more stretch plays with Ezekiel Elliott when defenses are able to stop the running game in between the tackles are all things he has to start doing in order to keep his job and honestly I just don’t see him doing it.
