2. Noah Brown, WR

Brown hasn’t been used in the way a traditional wide receiver would be used in the NFL. He’s been seen as more of a run blocker than a pass-catching receiver. The reason Brown has made this list is mainly because of the fact that when teams see him on the field, they are expecting to see a running play more often than a passing play, which basically tips the Cowboys’ hand on offense at times.

Dallas, to their credit, has been able to get the ball in his hands more through the air under Mike McCarthy, but it’s still not enough to warrant a roster spot if you have younger receivers with a build like Brown who also has the ability to threaten teams in the passing game.

Brown is one of the best blocking receivers the team has, but if either Simi Fehoko or T.J. Vasher are able to make improvements in the blocking technique, then they are going to make Brown expendable in the eyes of the front office who’s always looking to save a buck.

Brown, in turn, is going to have to show that he can be a real threat to defenses in the passing game in order to hold off two young receivers looking to make a name for themselves.
