Green Bay Packers: Week 10

2021 Record: 13-4

Key Additions: Sammy Watkins (WR), Rasul Douglas (CB), Oren Burks (OLB)

Key Losses: Za’Darius Smith (OLB), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (WR), Billy Turner (G), Equanimeous St. Brown (WR), Lucas Patrick (G)

Reason for Concern for Prescott: Yeah I’m still caught up on the fact that Dez caught the ball, sue me. This is another game where the play of the offense will put pressure on Prescott to keep up. Anytime Aaron Rodgers takes the field it doesn’t seem to matter who’s playing with him, he’s always able to make plays and win games.

A lot of the media will be talking about head coach Mike McCarthy’s return to Lambeau Field but it’s the battle of the quarterbacks that will decide this game. The loss of Za’Darius Smith will hurt the Packers’ defense but won’t cripple them. Green Bay still has Preston Smith on the outside and brought in a lesser-known but talented Oren Burks from the 49ers to boost the pass rush. Plus, Kenny Clark still mans the middle of that defensive line.

For Prescott to be able to win this game, he isn’t going to be focusing on the pass rush as much as he would with the three previously stated teams. In this contest, the QB will be hard-pressed to show that he can take the Cowboys to Lambeau Field and pull out a win in cold weather conditions. What he can’t do though, is try to force things down the field in order to make big plays. Quarterbacks tend to do that when facing Rodgers and it never works out well in the end. He will need to stick to the game plan and he should be fine if he doesn’t let Rodgers get into his head. And let’s not forget that Rodgers loves to beat the Cowboys.
