Okay, everyone, let’s get in the trust tree before we get too far into this article and there is no turning back. This is going to be an honest post and, as the title states, a realistic view of the NFC East in 2022 for the Dallas Cowboys.

First things first, there is nothing more I hope for than the Cowboys proving me wrong in every single way. Let me eat these words like a Thanksgiving feast. If that happens, I’ll be so happy I probably won’t even think of how wrong I was.

But, that’s not usually how things go. There is hope, and then there is realizing. That is what this is. I am going to look at a realistic outcome for the Cowboys in their division this year against each team and then the final draw.

Predicting how the Dallas Cowboys will fair against the NFC East in 2022

  • Week 12, November 24 (Thanksgiving Day), 4:30 pm EST, in Arlington, TX

Realistic Prediction: Cowboys go 2-0 against Giants

Sorry if I am a little bit confused, but I find it interesting that the NFL is giving the Cowboys and Giants both of their games in primetime slots this year. An early-season Monday Night Football game and the Thanksgiving Day sole afternoon slot are two big-time games for these teams.

That said, while they are big-time games, I don’t think the actual product is going to match that of what is expected in primetime. Without being too blunt, I am not sure if the Giants are rebuilding or trying to win, and I don’t even know if they are sure either.

There are too many question marks here. Is Daniel Jones the guy at quarterback? How long do they give Saquon Barkley? Does new head coach Brian Daboll get through this year and start with a clean slate in 2023?

The Cowboys don’t necessarily even have to play their best game against the Giants to win as we saw in both outings last year. They put up “okay” performances and won both games without much doubt or worry from kickoff to the final whistle.

Cowboys take both of these primetime games against the Giants in easy fashion.
