Practice Squad Receivers

Brandon Smith, Dontario Drummond

Brandon Smith is similar to Fehoko in having a year with the Cowboys under his belt. The knowledge of their playbook, scheme, and familiarity with the coaching staff could be what it takes to edge out another receiver for a spot on the practice squad. Smith came out of Iowa and is known for his ability to make plays on the ball in the air and use his body. His size and ability to play the ball make him a practice squad candidate one call away from suiting up on Sunday.

A product of Ole Miss, Dontario Drummond finished last season with a stat line of 76 catches, 1,100 yards, and 8 touchdowns for the Rebels. Landing that production as an undrafted free agent demands attention. At 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, Drummond brings size and athleticism that can develop. Drummond is a great practice squad development player that can quickly turn into a contributor.
