Depth Wide Receivers for the Cowboys

Jalen Tolbert, Noah Brown, Simi Fehoko

In all honesty, Jalen Tolbert is closer to the previous slide of a “Lock” to make the roster than a depth guy, but he is still a rookie and that can’t be fully dismissed. That said, Tolbert has the skillset to come in and contribute to the Cowboys early. Dallas values their draft picks and it seems like Tolbert will be dressed and seeing snaps in Week 1 as a third-round pick.

For being a blocking receiver, Noah Brown draws quite a difference of opinions from Cowboys fans. Every year, someway, somehow, Brown is on the roster and seeing time for the Cowboys. It appears that he brings the most value to the special teams unit of the receiving group. His offensive snaps may dwindle, but Brown is liked by the staff due to evidence provided throughout his career and could continue another season in Dallas.

Simi Fehoko has the inside track of spending the entire 2021 season with the Cowboys after being drafted by them. While he didn’t see time in games, he was suited up for a handful of appearances. This is a similar case to Cedrick Wilson. Wilson was a sixth-round pick when he joined Dallas and developed over a couple of years to fill in nicely. Don’t necessarily expect Fehoko to put up numbers like Wilson did last year, but the Cowboys could look to him to be a late-round contributor when called upon.
