Scouting Report. 123. 2. player. Pick Analysis. LB. Free Agent. AlexanderJohnson

Fans may want America’s Team to stay away from Alexander Johnson. In case you don’t remember, Johnson was a highly-touted prospect coming out of Tennessee in the 2015 NFL Draft before he was suspended from the program after he was accused of rape. In 2018, he was acquitted of all charges and then signed with the Broncos as a UDFA.

In 2021, Johnson was having a great start to the year before going down to injury and missing the rest of the season. In six games, he had 32 tackles, three pass deflections, two QB hits, two TFLs, two sacks, and one fumble recovery. A.J had an elite grade in run defense (90.3) and tackling (90.0) according to Pro Football Focus.

Adding the 30-year-old could give the Cowboys more help stopping the run, which they desperately need. This will also help take some pressure off of Parsons to fill in a full-time linebacker role and allow him to be moved all around the field.
