Now that the NFL Draft is in the rearview, the Dallas Cowboys are now looking ahead to training camp. Could the Cowboys finally add some external talent along the way?

The roster is now shaping up nicely after nine draft picks and a handful of UDFAs were signed last weekend. However, there is an argument that work could still need to be done to get this group over the hump.

The summer is when the Cowboys like to finish up their bargain shopping for the year, so we can expect a couple more signings before training camp. At this point in the offseason, free agents’ values start to decrease with every passing day, so this is a good chance for the Cowboys to get an impact player at a discount.

Here are 5 free agents the Dallas Cowboys should consider adding after the 2022 NFL Draft

Free Agent. JaquiskiTartt. 123. Pick Analysis. S. player. Scouting Report. 5

A nice depth piece could be found in Jaquiski Tartt. He started every game for the San Francisco 49ers last season and played decently. In a bench role, he could be solid in a rotation.

He is capable of playing both safety spots and in the slot. Having a versatile player like him in the secondary could come in handy, especially barring injury. Tartt’s a decent tackler and is solid in coverage.

Tartt is now best known as the guy that dropped a critical interception late in the conference championship game last season, but he had a decent year overall. He finished the season with 66 tackles and five tackles for loss. The defensive back will most likely be looking for a one-year prove-it deal with a contender, which the Cowboys could be viewed as a suitor.
