6. Amon Simon, OL, Texas A&M-Commerce

Simon made his way around several different schools during his collegiate football career. The OL earned all-conference honors for three different teams throughout his time in college. He also earned All-American nods twice.

7. Aaron Shampklin, RB, Harvard

The Cowboys signed a developmental player who may be able to come in and join the RB corps in the future. Shampklin earned unanimous first-team All-Ivy honors and averaged just under six yards a carry over 323 carries in college. The Harvard prospect is a bit small, standing at 5-9 and 194, but he did achieve an impressive 37.5″ vertical jump at the combine.

8. Alec Lindstrom, C, Boston College

PFF’s UDFA Top 100 Rank: 19

PFF’s Overall Big Board Rank: 198

They weren’t able to get OL Zion Johnson from Boston College, but Dallas did pick up the Eagles center. He was the highest-ranked out of all the Dallas UDFAs by PFF. Lindstrom is a bit small for a lineman at 6-3, 296 pounds, but he brings competitiveness and a high football IQ. The center was a three-year starter who made line calls for the team.

9. Jonathan Garibay, K, Texas Tech

Many hoped Dallas would pick a kicker in the draft, but the front office instead waited until after to secure a potential Greg Zuerlein replacement. Amidst a strong list of Big 12 kickers, Garibay was one of the most accurate. In 2021, he made 15-of-16 field goal attempts and 49-of-50 extra-point kicks. His impressive game-winning kick below was the longest kick made by an FBS kicker that won a game with less than a minute on the clock.

10. Dontario Drummond, WR, Ole Miss

PFF’s UDFA Top 100 Rank: 32

PFF’s Overall Big Board Rank: 220

Drummond and Carolina Panthers’ new quarterback Matt Corral were quite the pair in college. The receiver led Ole Miss with 76 receptions, 13.5 yards per catch, 1,028 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns last season. Drummon also helped on special teams by returning nine punts for 84 yards in his time with the Rebels.
