Predicting Cowboys’ Big Board based on pre-draft visits
1. Kenyon Green, Left Guard, Texas A&M
I believe that the Cowboys hope to address the offensive line in Round 1 and Kenyon Green from Texas A&M will be at the top of their board. The best word to describe Green is versatile. He has played every offensive line position in college except center. If drafted by the Cowboys he would be their starting left guard. But, with constant injuries to the offensive line year after year, Green could start at tackle if necessary.
The former Aggie is most known for his elite run blocking. He uses his 325-pound frame to move defenders with ease. Plus, he played in the SEC, going against the top talent in all of college football throughout his career.
Green will most certainly be an upgrade over Connor Williams in both the run and pass game. Also, Green will commit far fewer penalties. At this point, the Aggie seems like a popular pick to the Cowboys in many mock drafts, and fans should be happy to hear Green’s name called by the commissioner at 24th overall.
Overall, Dallas is in a good spot in the first round to land one of these top players. With the way day one is expected to shake out, it would be a surprise if one of these names is not still on the board. The Cowboys have hit big the last two NFL drafts, and hopefully, this one will be no different.
