Sixth Round – Kicker

We learned pretty early last season that having an unreliable kicker can cause major problems for your long-term goal of winning a championship. The Cowboys have a kicker on their roster (Chris Naggar) but not one that people would get excited about the way we were with Dan Bailey. The team needs to make sure they take a kicker in this year’s draft. Many will not see it as a pressing need, which will allow Dallas to wait and select one with their final pick in the 2022 draft. This draft also has some surprisingly good kickers to choose from. Solidifying a consistent kicker is far more important than some may realize.

Next best option if wiped out: Safety

Reason: They need depth at the position and could go this route if plenty of kickers are left that they like.
