2. Philadelphia Eagles pick Jordan Davis

First-round picks: 15th and 18th

Primary team needs: CB, Edge, WR, IOL

The Pick: Jordan Davis, Defensive Tackle, Georgia

The Reason: Another defensive tackle that can exploit the middle of our offensive line

The Philadelphia Eagles are another team that has two first-round picks in this year’s draft. Theirs are further down the list than the Giants, so it makes who they will take a bit but they are to predict.

But let’s say that somehow Jordan Davis falls to them at 15. Philly has other needs, but one of the main things the Eagles do well is defend against the run. They’ve been good at it for years and with Fletcher Cox coming back on a one-year deal, Davis could be hard to pass up. He’s one of the most athletic defensive tackles to ever go to the NFL Combine and is a monster in the run game.

Having Cox take Davis under his wing for a season while pairing them together would make that defensive front even more of a force against the run. The former Bulldog would also have fun going against the Cowboys’ offensive line just due to the fact that the middle of the line is by far the weakest area for them currently. This would be especially hard to swallow given that Davis is one of the Cowboys’ top-30 pre-draft prospect invites.
