One of the best ball hawks in the country, Verone McKinley III, could be a great day three pick for America’s Team. McKinley seems to always be around the ball and has great hands to make opposing quarterbacks pay.

The Oregon product could fit well in Quinn’s defense and even push Donovan Wilson for the starting free safety spot with a good showing in training camp. The Duck has a ton of potential to be a great cover safety and could pair well with Jayron Kearse for the next few years.

At the moment, McKinley is expected to be drafted anytime in day three. This could be a great value pick for the team if he manages to slide to round six.

A sleeper pick that I really like in the sixth round is Arizona State cornerback Jack Jones. Jones is a great cover corner who covered outside receivers the majority of his final season. His main flaw is his size, standing at 5-10 and 175 pounds.

His size may be a concern, but he applies power to his game, forcing three fumbles last season and coming away with three interceptions. Jones has the versatility to defend slot receivers as well, which may be where he needs to be to stick in the NFL.

He is currently expected to be selected in the sixth or seventh round of this draft. This is mainly due to the surplus of corners in this draft. Regardless, I would be pretty stoked to hear Jones’s name, along with the others on this big board, called when the ‘Boys are on the clock.
