I think if the team decides against taking a guard in the first round, LSU’s Ed Ingram could be an amazing pick in the third or even second round. Ingram can immediately come in and start at left guard and, at worst, compete with Connor McGovern for the spot.

Ingram is an exception run blocker, using his power to create gaps for runners and is also serviceable in the pass game. He is currently projected to land anywhere in the second or third rounds.

The LSU stud has the potential to become a Pro Bowler in the next few years. Being a severely overlooked lineman in this draft could be very beneficial a team who could very much use him to fill in for Connor Williams.

Yes, yes, I know, you’re probably sick of hearing me rave about Sam Williams but he is just such a perfect fit for this team. A mid-round, Micah Parsons-type player would be way too good to pass up.

Williams was one of the best pass rushers in the NCAA last season and is flying very under-the-radar throughout the draft process. A reason for that may be some off-the-field issues he dealt with while at Ole Miss. Aside from that, he could fit in perfectly in this defense and in the Quinn system and he seeps Pro Bowl potential.

The Ole Miss star is expected to be selected in the third or fourth round this year. The team may need to think about trading up if they want to land him, but with four fifth round picks, they can afford to package one to move up in the third or fourth. Williams is on the list of Cowboys pre-draft visits as well.
