With the 193rd pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select…

Gabe Brkic, Kicker – Oklahoma

Height: 6’3″ Weight: 201lbs

Career Stats: 159/160 extra points made (99.4%), 57/69 field goals made (82.6%), career-long 56 yards

John Fassel loves to find kickers with big legs and take them under his wing. Brkic has one of the biggest legs in this draft class. He’s also one of the most consistent kickers in this draft and Dallas really needs that after Greg Zuerlein’s tenure with the team. Only missing one extra point in his entire collegiate career and making over 80% of his field goals, the Cowboys could have their best kicker since Dan Bailey was let go.

Reason for the Pick: This team is in dire need of a kicker. Dallas could have been a higher seed and avoided the hot San Fransico 49ers if not for all of Zuerlein’s missed extra points and field goals. Brkic is a reliable kicker and would give them a better chance of winning games much like Evan McPherson did for the Cincinnati Bengals last season.
