Height: 6’4″  Weight: 265lbs

Career Stats: 87 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 3 passes defended

We keep hearing out of The Star that this team wants to get more aggressive. The past shows us that competitive and hungry athletes are a priority for Dallas. If that’s what they want, then Boye Mafe is the player that was tailor-made for Dan Quinn and the Cowboys. Mafe is freakishly fast off the edge with his first step, and he showed that that’s something he can do on a consistent basis. The Golden Gopher does a nice job of using his hand to bat offensive linemen away and prevent them from getting a solid punch against him. He gives relentless pursuit whether the play is coming his way or going away from him, Mafe is a see-ball, get-ball player just like last year’s first-round pick Micah Parsons.

The Cowboys are leaving a lot of options on the table for themselves in the first round given they have such a late pick. However, Mafe could get them to change their thought process if he’s still around when their time on the clock begins.
