2. Wide Receiver

Losing one receiver in free agency that was a big factor last season is hard enough, but losing one after you’ve traded away your top receiving threat in Amari Cooper and not bringing in someone that can threaten teams in that same manner hurts the team. If this offense is going to succeed, they need to add another threat to pair with CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup. Keep in mind that Gallup is returning, but will likely start the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

The Cowboys did bring in former Pittsburgh Steeler receiver James Washington to replace Cedrick Wilson, but they need to find a WR1 replacement for Cooper whose production on the field helped carry this offense. Lamb and Gallup need a third starter out there with them. Could that guy be in this draft class?
