1. Draft an Offensive Lineman in Round One

If the Joneses complete the first two steps of my plan, then this final move will be an easy decision. The Cowboys have to bolster the offensive line with their first-round pick. Selecting 24th overall, the front office will need to select the best offensive lineman available.

Luckily for the Cowboys, there should be plenty of talented linemen still around at 24. Some names you should remember are Kenyon Green from Texas A&M, Zion Johnson from Boston College, and Bernhard Raimann from Central Michigan.

Green and Johnson are guards while Raimann is a tackle. But, each spot is needed on the Cowboys’ current offensive line. La’el Collins is with the Bengals, Connor Williams signed with Miami, and Tyron Smith is not getting any younger. The three potential draft picks I mentioned would be immediate starters and help brighten the future of the O-line.

Dallas currently has Matt Farniok or Connor McGovern as their starting left tackle, which is not going to cut it. This offseason has been a disaster up to this point for the Joneses. Cowboys fans are sitting at home waiting for something big to happen. But if Stephen and Jerry can follow this three-step plan, they will put their team in a position to compete for the elusive Lombardi trophy.
