Tagging Dalton Schultz small price to pay for Prescott’s security blanket
The Dallas Cowboys offseason has already been a pretty wacky one. From Amari Cooper’s reported trade to Cleveland to also possibly losing out on key guys like DeMarcus Lawrence, Randy Gregory, and Cedrick Wilson.
The Cowboys are also, apparently, shopping La’el Collins who has made quite a few headlines during his time in the league. You can’t also go without mentioning the story that has set the newswire ablaze in recent days as well, the recent paternity suit filed against team owner Jerry Jones.
Despite all of that, Dallas still needs to figure out how they’ll get better on the field next season, who won’t be joining them there with a star on their helmets, and determine who will be playing for them when the season kicks off.
As mentioned above, there are a lot of things to sort out, but at least the team has one crucial piece figured out before 2022. The Cowboys used the Franchise Tag on tight end Dalton Schultz. This was a wise move that needed to be done considering all of the facts about former starter Blake Jarwin.
