Pick Analysis. DE. 852. Scouting Report. Minnesota Golden Gophers. BoyeMafe. 4. player

A prospect that has been on the rise due to outstanding performances at the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine is Minnesota Golden Gopher Boye Mafe. Mafe enjoyed a successful career in Minnesota, improving significantly each year. He finished his career with 15 sacks, including seven in his senior season. He also had 10 tackles for loss and a forced fumble.

The Minnesota product is more than capable of rushing the passer, but he also has the versatility to play as a stand-up defensive end or an off-ball linebacker. This addition could allow current Cowboy superstar Micah Parsons more chances to rush the passer with his hand in the dirt.

As stated before, Mafe has been on the rise after he dominated Senior Bowl week and the Combine. He secured the highest score on the Relative Athletic Score, grading elite in size, explosion, and speed.

Mafe would help shore up the edge gap and would also  some versatility to help other players get more involved. This seems like a pick defensive coordinator Dan Quinn would love.
