8 cheap NFL free agents that make sense for the Cowboys in 2022

3. Kenny Young, Denver Broncos, Linebacker

Career Stats: 195 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 1 interception, 4 passes defended, 4 forced fumbles

Young’s career hasn’t gone the way many thought it would. The linebacker had a nice start to his career in his first season with the Baltimore Ravens but failed to produce after that. Now, after being on his third team, Young could be a nice pairing or depth player for the Cowboys. He’d land behind Micah Parsons and Jabril Cox (who is still working his way back from injury).

Young could have a larger market once free agency opens up because he can defend well against the run and has drop-back ability making him more of a four-down linebacker. This one really depends on how teams feel about the depth at linebacker in the upcoming draft.
