6. Will Hernandez, New York Giants, Guard

We’ve heard that the Cowboys are looking for more players with a mean streak or attitude when they are on the football field, especially with La’el Collins on the chopping block. Hernandez was a player connected to the Cowboys in the 2018 NFL Draft, but he was taken ahead of Dallas’s pick by the Giants. In New York, he didn’t quite live up to his draft stock.

You can blame it on the player, but I see this as more of a coaching issue over the player’s production. Hernandez is from Texas and could be looking to come home for a fresh start. The Giant would be able to come in and start immediately at left guard. He would bring a mean streak the team is looking for and would give the team another guard to go along with Zack Martin. Hernandez has the ability and attitude to bully defensive tackles and linebackers, which Dallas needs.
