7. Mo Alie-Cox, Indianapolis Colts, Tight End

Career Stats: 70 receptions, 936 receiving yards, 13.4 yards per reception, 8 touchdowns

Despite the controversial decision to franchise tag tight end Dalton Schultz, the team still needs depth at tight end. They clearly like what they’ve seen from Sean McKeon given he got a chance to make some plays in games last season. But with Blake Jarwin getting cut by Dallas, the Cowboys need another player at the position.

Alie-Cox could be a player the Cowboys look at thanks in part to his blocking ability in the running game. The team has long struggled with tight ends who also have blocking talent. The Colt’s basketball background gives him a different kind of athleticism and means he is still learning the position. With the lack of pass-catching production and his status as a transitional player, teams could be reluctant to sign him away from Indy. But that doesn’t mean he lacks potential.
