Amari Cooper’s hilarious Family Feud moment resurfaces on Twitter
It’s always great when the internet brings back a hilarious video to bring you some throwback joy. It’s even better when that funny video involves the Dallas Cowboys. Amari Cooper’s name has come up a lot this offseason, and not necessarily for good reasons. Both Stephen and Jerry Jones expressed their disappointment with his production in 2021. And, rumors began to circle the NFL community that Cooper could be a cap casualty for the Cowboys this year due to that poor production.
For just a minute, we want to put that aside. Before Cooper was picked up by the Cowboys, he played in the AFC for the Raiders. While with the Raiders, Cooper appeared on an episode of Celebrity Family Feud with Steve Harvey. The show often features NFL players, both current and former. In this episode from 2016, the AFC Offense was taking on the NFC Defense.
Representing the AFC were Brandon Marshall (Jets), Marcus Cannon (Patriots), Jeremy Hill (Bengals), Steve Smith Sr. (Ravens), and Cooper. Representing NFC were Thomas Davis (Panthers), Cliff Avril (Seahawks), Malcolm Jenkins (Eagles), Terrance Knighton (Redskins), and Tyrann Mathieu (Cardinals). There were several hilarious moments from this episode.
Cowboys beat reporter Jon Machota recently tweeted out a particularly funny moment featuring Cooper and Mathieu. Harvey asks a question and both stand silently for a moment. Cooper hits the buzzer (implying he has an answer to give), takes a step back, stands silently, says “oh, man,” and then gets an “X” for having no answer. The look on Harvey’s face is priceless. Harvey does his shtick and then turns to Mathieu who also (after 30 seconds) has no answer. You can watch the video below.
Video resurfaces of a hilarious moment from Celebrity Family Feud involving Cowboys WR Amari Cooper
This show is known for its antics. There are hours of footage on the internet of Harvey reacting to moments on the show. When Cooper hits the buzzer and has nothing to say, laughter ensues. His teammates on the AFC side crack up at his awkward moment.
Cooper laughs it off and handles it well. Harvey said that Marshall was standing at his podium saying, “hit it” to Cooper. So he did. But that didn’t give him an answer. Luckily for the current Cowboys wide receiver, Mathieu’s lack of response brought even more laughter. This was a great throwback from Machota, and it is always entertaining to see NFL players interacting and hanging with each other off the field.
