How Cowboys can prioritize efficient Michael Gallup deal
The Dallas Cowboys came up massively short in their lone playoff game this season. Whether you want to blame the coach, the penalties, the offensive line, or the quarterback, none are the wrong answer.
When it comes to the best chances for Dak Prescott and the crew to get it right though, there is only one right answer. Try to bring back as much of this particular squad as possible and instill more discipline.
While the “discipline” part is easier said than done, bringing back most of the guys might not be as difficult. Free agent Randy Gregory is a tricky case, but whatever must be done to bring him back, it has to be done. Even if the Cowboys need to restructure other deals, they have to do what they can to keep the roster together.
There is one key move that shouldn’t be too difficult to do that must get done — and, it seems, the Cowboys have the same idea, considering the post-Amari Cooper news that dropped on Friday (Michael Gallup’s birthday, as a matter of fact):
While reportedly preparing to jettison Cooper, the Cowboys are already significantly along the path towards bringing Gallup back on a new deal, and it’s the right call.
Follow along here. Save the judgments until you, at least, hear the case.
