The Dallas Cowboys are inching closer and closer to the beginning of the 2022 season, and with the 2022 NFL Combine beginning this week all teams (including the Cowboys) are going to be very busy. As we’ve mentioned before, Dallas has a large number of free agents and will most likely turn to the draft and the late stages of free agency to fill holes on both sides of the football. For right now we will focus on the draft and possible players the Cowboys could choose. If you haven’t read it yet, check out our post-Senior Bowl mock draft from a couple of weeks ago to see what has changed.

So without further ado here is our seven-round Pre-Combine mock draft.

Trade Alert!! Cowboys trade 24th pick to the Bucs for their 27th and 91st picks.

With the 27th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select …

Kenyon Green, Guard – Texas A&M

Height: 6’4″ Weight: 325lbs

As much as I believe the Cowboys have more pressing needs, I think that this franchise started to change the narrative around this team when they invested in taking offensive linemen early in the draft. Kenyon Green fills an immediate need for this team, he can come in and start at left guard giving the front office and quarterback Dak Prescott less to worry about.

Green is a back-to-back Consensus All-American that has the experience to play four different positions on the offensive line. If the Cowboys are hit with the injury bug, Green would give them a nice contingency plan.

If the Cowboys let Connor Williams walk in free agency, then this should give us all a clue as to what their plans could be early in the draft.

Previous Pick: Kenyon Green
