3 second round steals the Cowboys could make
2. Chad Muma, Linebacker, Wyoming
The Cowboys remain in dire need of quality linebacker play. Aside from Micah Parsons, they do not have a linebacker they can count on. Chad Muma could come in and immediately start next to Parsons and have a huge impact.
The Wyoming product is 6-3 242 pounds and has all the abilities of an NFL linebacker. He has good speed and can cover sideline to sideline. Also, he was one of the most productive tacklers in college football this past season. Muma led all of Division 1 football in total tackles with 142. He also had 60 total stops and three interceptions. He is always around the football. In the play below, he makes it all the way across the field to stop a touchdown.
This play is a great example of Muma as a player. You can see him wearing number 48 and chasing the quarterback across the field to make the tackle. He has a relentless motor and his competitiveness would pair well with Parsons.
The Cowboys have a history of selecting linebackers from the Mountain West (Leighton Vander Esch), and I think Muma will most certainly be in play at pick 56. According to the PFF Big Board, Muma is the 57th ranked player.
