2. Otito Ogbonnia, Defensive Tackle

Height: 6’4 Weight: 320lbs

Draft Projection: Day 3

Career Stats: 76 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles

It’s no secret that the Cowboys will need help with the defensive line next year. Three defensive linemen, including Randy Gregory, are set to hit free agency and the defensive line seems to be a position that often fosters injury. Otito Ogbonnia could be a great addition, just like his former UCLA linemen teammate was.

Dallas needs more big bodies up front that are suited to handle the constant double teams in the running game. Ogbonnia is a player that has dealt with these issues so they would be nothing new to him once he enters the league. What would be even better for him is to be paired back up with Odighizuw as they know each other well and were a good tandem in college.

Obgbonnia has some pass-rush ability but he’s more of a run-stuffer who can make a name for himself if he can continue to be a big body in the middle of the field controlling the line of scrimmage. Everything after that would just be icing on the cake. The good thing is he’s someone the Cowboys could be able to get towards the end of the draft.
