Cowboys Free Agents – Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson, Malik Turner, Noah Brown

Possible Offensive Snaps Lost – 1,454

Possible Special Teams Snaps Lost – 470

The Cowboys are in a situation similar to the one they are seeing with the safety position. They could potentially lose a lot of receivers, and their 2021 draftee in Simi Fehoko played a limited amount of snaps. Fehoko shows promise, but one thing the Cowboys need that Fehoko hasn’t shown yet is an ability to beat corners deep and make contested catches.

The Cowboys have two very good route running receivers that can get open quickly and are dangerous after the run. But when Gallup wasn’t on the field, teams were able to keep everything in front of them to slow down Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb.

Dallas needs a receiver that can continue to threaten defenses deep. Stretching the field is a crucial part of the Cowboys offense as it opens up the underneath passing game as well as the running game. It’s a good thing that this receiver class is loaded with talent, Dallas has the opportunity to retool this position and bring in one or two quarterback-friendly targets for Dak Prescott.
