1. Draft Wire/USA Today – Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn

Career stats: 135 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 6 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, 30 passes defended

"“Trevon Diggs has obviously emerged as one of the NFL’s best playmakers at corner, but the rest of the group in Dallas needs work. McCreary was a shutdown artist every week, dominating some of the SEC’s best pass-catchers with regularity, which should make him as pro-ready as any corner in this year’s deep class.” -Luke Easterling, Draft Wire"

Here’s another consistent name that has been appearing in mock drafts as of late. McCreary is an experienced cornerback who’s faced off against some of the best coming out of college and faired very well against them.

Dallas wasn’t able to get either cornerback they really liked last season, so they might be able to get one this season with the possibility of teams focusing on offensive linemen and waiting on a deep defensive draft pool. McCreary would be able to come in and compete for a starting position. One thing that goes against him in the Cowboys front office would be his height. Dan Quinn prefers the taller cornerbacks in his defense and that may drop him on the Cowboys boards.

Of course, the draft is still two months away. These names will change week to week. But for now, how do you feel about the Cowboys getting one of these players?
