Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs are not only star players in the NFL, but they are also brothers. Stefon, the seventh-year receiver, is five years older than his little brother Trevon who just finished his second year in the league.

Because of the age difference, the brothers never played each other in high school or collegiate football. And, now that they play for teams in different conferences, they have yet to face each other in their NFL careers. The 2022 NFL Pro Bowl finally changed that. Stefon received his second Pro Bowl selection for the second year in a row, and his baby brother got his first Pro Bowl honor after a stellar second-year campaign.

The Diggs brothers finally got a chance to face each other and they absolutely made the most of it. The two switched position places and were often caught battling it out, as brothers do. They even competed against each other in the Best Catch competition, which Trevon miraculously won as a defender. When Stefon found out about his brother making the NFL’s All-Star Game, he told ESPN’s Todd Archer:

"“I was just more proud than anything. I was more happy for when I heard about him [making the Pro Bowl], because I knew he was going, but I still wanted to see it. I saw his picture and I saw his face, I saw him in the Cowboys [jersey], I’m like, yeah, that’s my little brother.”"

That pride continued after the game as well. Even though the brothers were often caught messing around throughout the weekend, Stefon took to Twitter after the Pro Bowl to share some sentimental thoughts about finally facing his brother.

Buffalo Bills’ Stefon Diggs shares a sentimental message on Twitter about changing brother Trevon Diggs’ diapers after they face each other in Pro Bowl. Stefon was always a father figure to Cowboys CB Trevon.

Some may say that it’s odd that a young Stefon would be changing diapers at 5 years old, but it seems that Stefon always held a “Man of the House” position. Stephanie Diggs, their mother, told ESPN that Stefon was incredibly excited for his little brother, a man who he helped raise. Aron Diggs, their father, died of congestive heart failure in 2008, leaving the boys fatherless at 10 and 15 years old.

Stephanie said that because she had so much on her plate while raising five kids after her husband’s death, Stefon became a father figure to Trevon. The Diggs family appears to be very close. After the Pro Bowl roster was revealed, 15 members of the family gathered on FaceTime to relish in the moment. Trevon, who tends to be the quieter brother, shared his thoughts with ESPN on the situation:

"“[Both of us making the Pro Bowl is] probably one of my favorite moments of this year, for real, because that’s my brother. I love him to death and just being able to go up there with him, that’s fire.”"

In an otherwise boring Pro Bowl game, it was fun to watch the brothers battle it out and bring some life to the competition. The Cowboys’ only chance of facing the Bills next year is if both teams make it to the Super Bowl. Fingers crossed?!
